    The answer is obvious: NO. Manny, a great boxer, is not a better hero than Jose Rizal.

    For one thing, Rizal is educated--he's a graduate of the Ateneo and a physician--he's an eye doctor. He also died for the Philippines.

    Knocking back a few opponents in the boxing ring is great and everything but it isn't anywhere remotely close to writing Noli Me Tangere and exposing the evils of Spanish colonialism.

    There's a big difference with Pacquiao and Rizal kasi Pacquiao gave fame for the Philippines while Rizal gave his life for the Filipino People. Isa pa kasi past na si Rizal that's why we can definitely say he is a Hero while Pacquiao wala pa... tama ka foxy patayin muna si Pacquaio before we can say he is really a hero... lol! lol!
